Expedite Caterpillar Morton short parts. Review and adjust backorders. Maintain daily Morton short report. Expedite Customer literature software and manage annual subscription billing.

Essential Functions

  • Expedite assigned Morton short back orders.
  • Teach parts department personnel the use of ANTARES.
  • Avoid customer service delays.
  • Arrange shipment of assigned Special Handle orders.
  • Prepare and distribute the Morton short list daily.
  • Expedite Customer SIS, ET, and related soft/hard ware for subscriptions.
  • Handle all orders within required deadlines and cut-off times.
  • Works safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures and standards.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Review and adjust backorders.
  • Follow-up on items not received from CAT depots.
  • Handle customer billing of special handle orders.
  • Handle annual subscription billing to customers.
  • Submit discrepancy claims to CAT.
  • Work with warranty claims office to submit claims.
  • Maintain daily activity log on all calls and e-mail communications
  • Prepare assigned reports as required.
  • Travel to branch stores and customer sites as required.
  • Must accomplish training and serve as a Green Belt in support of Empire's Six Sigma program.
  • Works within and promotes corporate values.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Must have interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customer and to solve customer problems in a professional manner.
  • Must have math skills sufficient to effectively perform job duties.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

Education and Experience

  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with CAT equipment parts.
  • Prefer expediting experience.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
